UPDATE! it was the fuel pressure regulator....

UPDATE! it was the fuel pressure regulator. Changed it and all is great now. Thanks for your help.

Wouldn't the o2 sensors cause a failure at the emission test? Because we took it last weekend and everything passed with flying colors. We did the seafoam thing in the tanks. We also poored some down...

1989 F150 runs like @#%& (sometimes)

Its a stock 1989 F150 with the straight 6 EFI. The link below will give you a little history if intrested. Whats happening is when under way the truck runs like new, no hickups or hesitation at all....

1989 F-150 warm starting problem

Alittle history - My G-PA bought the truck brand new in 89. It now has 15K original miles on the factory engine. Yeah only 15K miles. Never seen any bad weather. He passed away in 05 and now G-MA...
