Hopefully the piston is not damaged.

If it is "U", it is the 4r70w, if it is it is a "E" 4r100

I would take the throttle body off and clean it. I know the 4.6 is notorious for the passages getting clogged up, and that could cause the slow to return to idle issue.

Good to know. I always wondered if I could replace the 4 cat system with a 2 cat system if I had issues with the cats.

Yup, if you brought the key inside and they never hooked anything up to the truck itself it is a cloned key. It can not be used as one of the 2 needed to make a copy of the RFID setting in the truck...
