This. I did mine with a lift, too, and hats off to those who've done them with the vehicle on the ground.

Long wide open runs will only hurt your truck in two ways:

1) EGT's - I don't know what happens at low altitudes, but at high ones EGTs can easily hit 1400* or more, even with stock tuning. Get a...

I didn't reread the whole thread...

Do you have gauges? If so, when driving a repeatable WOT run:

What's you max boost in each setting?
What's you max EGTs in each setting?

If you don't...

Good point. I can't believe the gauge has an algorithm built into it to estimate coolant temp, while the wire from the coolant temp sensor goes nowhere. That makes no sense.

Now, if there was a...

Supercracker, did you measure oil temps?

I'm also thinking radiator, or a restriction of airflow in front of the radiator. At high altitudes, the drop in air density exposes cooling issues that...

Slow down? Blaspheme, you say!! :-X04

Actually, I'm not exactly flying. The speed limit on most of these grades is 65mph, and I never exceed it when towing and, in the case of the eastbound...

Agreed. The radiator seems to be the most likely culprit, both because the other components (e.g. water pump, bottle, cap, hoses) are pretty much new, and because this is a truck that lives most of...
