You can get an 8.8 for a fraction of the cost of a 9 inch and they are plenty strong enough for a daily driver, plus lots of them have a limited slip already. Your stock rear end should be a banjo...

35 36 and 37 hoods all interchange but the sides have different louver layout and emblem for each year. I have a pretty decent 37 hood if you need one.

Always my brain is more ambitious than my body but I've got an idea rolling around. I never liked the big spare tire indentation and to make the panel more useable, I'm thinking another driver's side...

Good eye GB. It has a set of early 50s 3/4 ton axles cobbled under it right now, mostly held in with chain. If I build it, I will probably use 58 F100 axles.

Knock the rivets out of the front spring hanger...

Knock the rivets out of the front spring hanger and flip it over. You'll have to get wedge shims to reset the pinion angle. should get you 2-3 inches.

Nope, nothing where it shows "1". It looks like the same tranny as my 58 and 60 pickups have, T18 I believe.
