Ya 20k is way to high, especially when you can shop around and find one like the blue one above. Even if it wasn't a diesel and had a stock rebuilt drive train it's already 25% cheaper.

I always use two 5000lbs tie down straps to pull people out, or my self and it has worked out fine so far. Not to mention if you work with cargo airplanes they are free.

I also have just liability, and my insurance company won't give full coverage on vehicle older than 1990. Weird but liability is all I need anyways.

I have a similar issue and thought 351 had a wet intake. Guess not now hoping mine is a head gasket and not a cracked block. Don't got the $$ for a motor ATM. If I get mine figured out ill update...

My 79 250 has soft brakes too, firm with engine off and soft while running. No leaks I could find in the system. I was thinking a Vaccuum problem? Haven't looked to far into it since its winter...
