It's easier to swap a "tone ring" into a diff than you'd probably think, i've seen it done onto 9" diffs with factory 8.8 rings, and the D60's...

it would be much easier and smarter to just swap in a 6.0L from a GM truck. those engines fit everywhere easily, have lots of aftermarket support, and have a much better selection of transmissions...

I'm going to put a deeper pan and some fresh fluid in my 77; It has a C6. I pulled the inspection plate a while back and the torque converter is bright orange, so I'm guessing someone at some point...

living in the desert where you do, i would recommend keeping a cooler. most vehicles have some form of steering cooler, otherwise those pumps will fry them selves pretty quickly.

starter mounted solenoid

trying to figure out why half the part numbers that come up for a 77 F350 460 have a great big solenoid sitting on it, and half don't.

i had the large external solenoid style, and it just failed....
