The reason I ask is because my wiring to the rear of my truck is not "neat" at all - spliced wires all over, coming and going from wherever. So I went to the salvage yard and got a factory tow...

I read somewhere (I thought the service manual, but I can't find it now) that the trucks with factory trailer towing package had a plug for brake controller in the harness in the dash. I have two...

Wow. I honestly never thought of that. The 4-low of the transfer case is definitely lower. Thanks! Also, I just found out the ZF5 is not from a 4X4. So it was a 460 4X2.

Why is swapping a ZF5 into your truck advantageous?

I see a lt of us trying to get ZF5 trannys and swapping them into their trucks. What are the advantages of the ZF5? I have an opportunity to get one for $75 and it's tempting, but I'd just like to...

I doubt you have seen worse U-Joints than these

So I finally figured out what the clunk-clunk-clunk was under my truck. I thought I was just a bad shifter. Turns out these rear u-joints were fried. No sign of any bearings on either side of the...

Should I replace needle bearing with regular bearing change?

I have a 96 F150 4X4 with a Dana 44 front axle. I'm going to replace the bearings (inner/outer bearings with racers, as well as the oil seal). While I'm in there, should I replace the needle...
