Click noise heard in carb and found

1955 F250 Y block 239 V8 OHV


#8 intake push rod fell down. I can't seem to get it out and hope not too much damage is down. I guess it is time to do exploratory surgery.


Any suggestions?

I found the clicking noise. The intake push rod fell down on #8. =(


Old fuel pump was bad. New one works just fine.


Time to operate and do exploratory surgery.

Clicking noise heard in carb after starting up and running for 30 seconds.
Could it be a valve, or gas, or timing, or ??? I am just trying to start up the engine after...

1955 239 Y block carb spacer/pcv question

Since I have a three prong carb with small intake and ports, could I buy a 1" spacer, drill two small holes into each barrel, Y it off into a pcv valve, and come off the valley pan? Would this work...
