I would check for vacuum leaks if you didn't...

I would check for vacuum leaks if you didn't replace all of the rubber vacuum lines (and even if you did for that matter new manufacture rubber seems to be declining in quality.)

That is an interesting location for a speaker... I was playing with the idea of fabricating a dash out of steel but I think the cost would be pretty high, plus I know jack about welding.

And I am thinking that I may need to cleanup the ground connections at the rear signals, and maybe tie them to the chassis as well as the sheet metal of the bed that they are already attached to.
