Did you replace both fuel filters? Sounds like fuel, either air getting in or plugged filter, everyone forgets about the one on the frame and that one gets real dirty.

the only other way to be sure, is to remove the diff cover and see the stamping on the ring gear, it will show 44/11 then you just divide the numbers, 4:11.

Sounds like the blower resistor, that is in the heater box, that controls your speeds. They go all the time, take it out and ohm each terminal make sure none of the curly wires didn't burn up.
