I'm still concerned about the shavings in the pan as well, but hard to say where it came from. but i buttoned it all together, hooked up the transbrake to the reverse lights on my shifter, good to go...

just another quick question after another observation:
checked my torque converter to flywheel clearance, its between 11/32 to 3/8 clearance. if this is too spread out could this be the problem?

what i mean by cant find reverse is the truck...

what i mean by cant find reverse is the truck runs and drives in every other gear, but i cannot find reverse at all, so im worried i have no reverse and what to check for to see if i do or not?
