What about the sway bar?

It has suspension and axles from a F250. If the suspension were more compliant, would that help? It has a rear sway bar. If I unhooked the sway bar, would that help?

Looks kinda like puddys

Guess I could cross it up with one wheel on a ramp in the driveway and look under to see if I can tell where the flex is coming from. Is this a bad idea?

Thanks all for the info.

Frame twists a lot on 96 F150

Hello. I have a 96 F150 4WD extended cab. When 4 wheeling over VERY uneven terrain I can see the bed move several inches from side to side. Is this normal? Should I try to add stiffeners to it? ...

Are Magnum Plus balancing beads good?

I am getting LT305/70 R16 Dick Cepek Mud Country tires for my 95 F250 4wd. Was going to use Magnum Plus balancing beads. Anyone have any experience with these or any other beads? Thanks.

Best brand for ring and pinion?

I have a 95 F250 4WD 3.55 rear ratio. I want to change the ratio to something else that would be good for slow off-roading over rocks etc (not a rock crawler - just mild off roading). I also intend...

Oops my mistake.

I originally posted it was a 95 F150. I meant 95 F250 4wd. Typo. Sorry. From reading the replies maybe I should try for 35" tires instead.

Ouch

Hmmm. My truck is 4wd and the rear is LS. If I put the small tire on the front so I don't burn up the rear clutches, wouldn't I have the same type of catastrophic spider gear failure on the front...

different spare tire size

Hello. I have a 95 F150 4WD. I want to run 37" tires. The spare might have to be a little smaller diameter to fit under the truck in the normal spot. Anybody know if this would cause a problem...

Much appreciated

So many of you seem to know so much about this. I'm amazed at all the good info. Now I think I know enough to make my decisions. Going to be a while to round up all the stuff, but I'm now on my...

Well, that doesn't sound to good to me. Sideways is not good. I also thought about changing the fluid like others suggested. Maybe will try that first, but also thought about going to 4.10 ratio...

Hmmm. Then maybe I should have the LS rebuilt and get a locker for the front. It seems like electric locker would be easier to install than air?

95 f250 locker

95 f250 4wd 5.0 zf transmission. It has 3.55LS, but the LS doesn't seem to do much. It spins one wheel on slippery surface. Thinking of adding a locker. Maybe air locker so I can turn it off...

Very good info. Thanks all. I also need to tow it sometimes. If I leave the hubs unlocked and the case and transmission in neutral, is it okay?
