Just curious. Is there a vortex between 65 and 70 mph?


Speeding up by 5mph generally equates to a loss of .6mpg. But from 65 to 70, it's 1.1 mpg.


Sort of like breaking the sound barrier?

A week ago or so we went about 240 miles north to Aloha State Park. 65mph average.


On I-96 heading west I was getting about 12.5 mpg with a 5 mph tailwind.

20-25% is a more realistic estimate of pin weight, especially on medium to heavy 5ths. My 15.5k GVWR 5th is about 21% on empty weights, 23% loaded.

After seeing all those hoses, I was wondering if that could be the reason.


I re-removed the small hose from the tank, based on Senix truck, it doesn't look like that is what it is supposed to be...

Disconnected hose

While replacing a fuse under the hood (yeah, just what we needed, a $4.76 fuse to a 12 volt accessory outlet. Seriously Ford?), I noticed the small hose was disconnected from the back of radiator...
