you can do an injector flow test or leak test...

you can do an injector flow test or leak test hook up a fuel pressure gauge build system pressure up with gauge on and fire each injector one by one and see if up much pressure is lost compare them...

it sounds like the distributor is just rusted on or the gears are stuck. let the oil soak and then try working it back and forth try to avoid pliers or pry bars or heat. can you see any visible rust....

do not see to much else that would cause a fuel pump to keep running and your injectors to sit their and pulse. rla2005 what do you think about the whole injector thing.
