Anybody ever swap a different heater in their box?

I'm looking at the heater box in my 58 and it's going to need a lot of work. I thought about the efficiency of the newer units but they are air or electrically operated. Maybe one of the 70's-90's...

So, is this the engine I was told I'm getting???

I finally made room in the garage for the 57 and adjusted the 2bbl and got the truck running. I timed it and set the carb but need to do a bit more. 14in vac at idle and pretty good throttle...
