well in the top picture the hole on the right would take a bolt/stud for the negative battery cable and also that bracket you see in the pic for the starter cable bundle. As for the hole on the left...

tcase is probably hosed up. will it go into 4wd? just make sure you aren't trying this on pavement. only do so in gravel, grass, dirt etc..

I believe you can use a test light on the injectors. the injector wiring should have been same and only the dizzy firing order would be different between the 2 engines

it wouldn't hurt to try...

Personally I wouldn't use that efi setup, its going to be speed density efi and doesn't like many mods. you could get a mass air setup from a mustang and have a far cleaner install in my opinion....
