Well i picked up an Avital 4103 Remote starter on a black friday special for 49 bucks.... opened the box and it didnt LOOK that bad at first glance, and the manual said you could use their website...

I noticed the same thing, its got an awesome tone at low rpm under load, but once you get into the pedal it quiets down, and this system originally came off my 2.8 v6 s10 and remarkably on that truck...
