Here's a pic of the gate on my old '85. This picture was taken when the truck was about 5 months old, so it's definitely original. it looks like the truck in the woods from above.

I think it was called "All Computer Resources" or something like that.

Yes, this method wouldn't help with wiring (maybe Painless Wiring could deal with that?). But it MIGHT be a way to get a...

Yep, as noted in my last post, the torque converter has been replaced, and the rattle is gone. But I wasn't sure how serious it was, so it's "nice" to have some confirmation that all the money I...

Pulling the torque converter drain plug won't empty the pan though, will it? I think if you want to DRAIN most of the fluid out (as opposed to pumping it out) you need to drop the pan and drain the...

Just a thought, could you "make up" a VIN and get a replacement PCM made? I just ordered a new PCM on-line for my sons J**p Cherokee. They needed to know the VIN and the mileage so they could flash...

I ran 33-9.50x15s (33" OD) for about 10K miles, and then 235/85-16s (31.7" OD) for about 110K miles on a '95 F-150 with 351, E4OD and 3.55 gears. I occassionally towed / hauled up to about 6,000 lbs...

Most '97 F-250s (and F-350s) were EEC-IV (often called OBD1?), but some (California trucks?) were OBD2. They were all one or the other, and both have the engine and auto trans completely controlled...

Well, I think it's fixed. I decided it had to be coming from inside the bellhousing, and I'm not in a position right now to pull a tranny, so I took it in. The garage came to the same conclusion...

Personally, for that kind of use I'd prefer 3.55s, but I know most on here would say it's a dog like that and want the 4.10s. But I do have 4.10s in my current truck and I'm not exactly jumping to...

If your mileage went up from 10 to 11 with the gear swap, assuming gas is $3350 / gal, you'd save about $32 / 1000 miles. from 10 to 12 mpg would save you about $58 / 1000 miles. So how much would...

There is a significant change in the dash and doors between '86 and '87. The '87 - '96/'97 dash sticks back farther and the front corner of the wind wing window needed to be cut off to allow it to...

You might also see broken cab mounts, which is more likely than a broken frame, so it might be worth the little bit of effort.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think your biggest issue might be the cab floor and the frame rails. I think the frame comes up behind the cab, so if you put a longer cab on a frame that...

I'd guess you'll end up using them both ways. Every vehicle I've had with steps or "ground effect" skirts on cars, it was in the way for getting in and out. I was always bumping my leg on it and...
