Actually, I have a Fumoto oil lever drain plug...

Actually, I have a Fumoto oil lever drain plug instead of a regular screw on drain plug, so I can dump a quart easy and then add the Lucas. I just hate to waste a quart of perfectly good oil.

Found out today that poor truck had major...

Found out today that poor truck had major surgery.....lifted the cab due to the welded on front bumper. The service dude sent me a picture. Makes me sick. I sure hope I don't wind up with a rattle...

These engines are made to run at those rpms. That's their work load. Otherwise they are worthless as a tow engine.

I didn't use just one resourse since I travel...

I didn't use just one resourse since I travel alot and hit different cities when I need an oil change. I will probably stick with the 3,000-4,000 between oil changes.

It was a Fram and the oil was Shell 5-20 semi-synthetic. the oil pressure on this engine has always been above "normal" and it has never used a drop of oil between changes.

I changed oil evey 3-4,000 miles and used different filters; didn't think if I changed oil that often, the brand of filter made much difference.

Yes, I have towed a 10,000# bumper pull trailer...
