Steve, I took my heat gun and got the mat pretty warm and it laid down with no issues since. By the way, I kept my Husky rear mat from my '10 and it fits very well.

I did exactly that last year when some of my lines froze as it got quite a bit colder than was forecast. Took several hours but was able to flush out the water 'slush' and winterize.
