The C2 pumps are notorious for groans and whines, which is part of the reason I'm going with a Saginaw. Anyway, some have reported that changing to synthetic fluid helps a lot.

Belts themselves can squeak. So if you pull one and the noise goes away don't assume it is that bearing. Check alignment on the pulleys or for a bent pulley/shaft.

I'm sure you could make just the dome light...

I'm sure you could make just the dome light portion of the unit with map lights work. But to make the map lights themselves work you need the harness from one of the trucks.

Yes, there is more wiring for a map light as the map lights work independently from the dome light part. Plus, the map light units were packaged with the cargo lights.

Depends on what you can live with. I just pulled 31 x 10.50's off and there were rub marks on the radius arms, caused by it rubbing at about 3/4 lock. I put 30 x 9.50's on and there is no rubbing.
