Installed z bar bushings and then scrubbed down...

Installed z bar bushings and then scrubbed down inner fenders with a scotch brite pad and some soapy water.

A damp cloth, burlap, canvas with evaporust on it would do the trick I would bet. Then cover it with saran wrap. Same premise I use when doing concrete repairs, it holds the moisture in the repair...
