Yeah , how short is it ? It has to be a little short for the axle to go up and down with out binding. You may know that but we don't know that you do or how much experience you have mechanically .:)

That is off more than mine came out, i wonder why ? My 73 had a 360 in it and i changed to a 302 . I used the 302 frame mount stands and only had to lower the 360 radiator down about one inch , 302...

I used a 87 seat in a 79 but i had to use the 79...

I used a 87 seat in a 79 but i had to use the 79 mounting tracks to make it a direct bolt in. :)

C6 for FE engines ,360,390 ect. will not bolt up to a 460 . 351M , 400 and 460 use the same C6 . Bolt pattern on the FE is different than 460.
