'79 F250 on Rockwells/53's

I have a build thread over in the offroad section but I thought some you may enjoy what I'm building.

1979 F250
460
C6
NP205
Front axle- 2.5 ton Rockwell toploader open
Rear axle- 2.5 ton Rockwell toploader welded spiders and flipped hubs (6.72 gears)
53" Michelin XZLs
Full hydraulic steering (saginaw pump swap)
Front and rear pinion brakes

The building starts on page 16 (as of right now) because the offroad folks like ramble.

Haha ya, it seems much more unsafe with this much lift though...

I've been wheeling for years and never broke one. Something weaker in the line always breaks first. (u joints, axle shafts, drive shafts, etc.) My truck has the stock yoke from the original driveshaft which will have a stock-size u joint. That will be my weak link since the driveshaft is 1/4 wall and uses a rockwell joint at the other end. From what I've heard/read, it's the tcase that everyone upgrades to if they dont already have it and it's second only to an Atlas. After I wheel it for a while, I may buy a Max Low gear set for it if I feel like I need more gear. I'd like to twin stick it too!

How is your truck built? Axles, engine 'n such. Gotta picture of it?

Craigslist ought to be my main sponsor on this truck. Got the rockwells and wheels from a guy in south carolina. Springs from a local lady that took em off her super duty. I bought the XZL's 2 and a half years ago from a guy in Savannah. All found on Craigslist. I even bought the truck off Craigslist about 3 years ago.

Got the hydro steer and pinion brake caliper brackets from Mike Ward with Underground Offroad. The rotors ( '87 Mazda B2300), calipers and pads ('87 Toyota 4x4 Pickup) and Saginaw pump are from Advance Auto Parts. Ordered knuckle boots from Boyce Equipment today. Got the drive shafts made by a guy my brother knows in Athens, Ga. We made the spring plates, spring perches, shackle bushing mounts and front spring hangers.
