engine surging between 1,000 to 2,000rpm
 
2007 lincoln nav L transmission fluid was replaced at 43,000 miles as per suggestion of a service tech.how ever after the fluid change the engine surging starts(rev starts goin up & down between 1,000 to 2,000 rpm.nothing was touched but the tranny fluid change.been to service dept twice already,they some what fixed it,it is not as severe as the first time,but the surging is still there.by the way is it necessary to change tranny fluid every 30,000miles on this vehicles. help...........

Strange. Check your manual but the normal driving interval is 100K and severe is 60K.

Please dont tell us that this was done at a quicky lube joint.

Did they use the correct fluid? Look it up in your owners manual.

this was done at the dealer.according to the owner manual,replace trans.fluid at 30,000 miles.the service tech have been in contact with ford about the problem & so far i don't when this thing will get resolve.

Really? Your manual says replace trans fluid at 30k? Doesn't make sense since the tranny is the same as the expy.
