Yea? What do you do that you use them?
Have you seen the 4w led units from policelightz.com? I am running 4 of those in my grille. Police Lightz Mobile Attachment 223789 |
Nice. How did you mount yours? I mounted my 8 head to the roof via some custom brackets. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Ahhh...interesting! I like that idea. Where you mounted your controller I am considering that spot for 12v power ports and additional switches as needed.

Huh...just for looks or do the higher reverse lights appear brighter?
|
just for looks, i have the white knight backup system to see. didnt notice any difference in output.
gotta be different! |
I am pretty disappointed with the taillights. I added low power (45w) strobes to the third reflector...one day while launching our DART boat (about 30 minutes) I came back to find the outer lenses slightly buckled in.
Scratching my head as to how agencies like FDNY can run strobes all day long and mine start to melt after 30 minutes. |
i installed another set of brake lights in the dead spot in mine. no issues with that.
|
I'll be switching my conventional strobe bulbs with some LED's (Whelen has some nice hide-away kits that use the same 1" hole) once the "finance department" (a.k.a. my wife) approves the PO. :)

yeah i've been wanting to try out the whelen vortex? LED hideaways. but i want to wait untill i get my LED taillights first.
