Started the install of my 650 dash as well. RiffRaff does a GREAT job - the paint is easily a 99% match. I only sent the trash hook (didn't find those back two screws until today), so for all I know it could have actually faded along the upper half. You can see an ever-so-slight difference between the cupholder and the panel, but the paint at the trash hook is dead on, so I'm guessing had I sent the cup holder too, they would have matched it dead on.

The switches are AWESOME...engraving came out great. Pigtails on the harnesses are a tad short, but not short enough to stress over. I'll have it back apart to put in the gauges (trans temp and oil temp) once I find gauges I like and once I find the best place to tap into the dash dimmer.

Does anyone know if those switches dim, or are they the non-dimming LED's?

Installed Gibson exhaust on v10. Old system was rusting away.

Send me your upholder and I will hit it as well:-X19

Get some Isspro EV2 gauges, they match great and a very good quality made right in Portland, OR.

The switches are done dimming but the aren't very bright with the engraving. For your gauges you will want to tap the dimming wire right behind your headlight switch, IIRC it is baby blue and pink tracer.

Really? Yet another reason you guys rock! We have a display coming up for the fair...let me get it through that, then I'll send it to you.

I wondered when I had it apart if I could just piggyback on the dimmer switch itself. Maybe I will just have the switches illuminated with the ignition circuit and the gauges on the dimmer...the switches are far enough away from the windscreen they shouldn't hurt being at a "bright" setting all the time.

-Hand washed the X today, degreased the motor with some Gunk Engine Brite Gel, and followed with the Gunk Engine Brite Shine.

-Filled her up today, cost $103 from a half way below half tank.

-Cleaned out the interior, still need to take some Lexol to the leather though.

Got the Hellwig rear sway bar installed. From what I can tell so far it's helping. Certainly corners better. Cant believe people have these things for 100,000 miles and dont do this simple upgrade.

Plus...I love working on this truck because you can do so much without having to jack it up and use jack stands. :)

I washed and vacuumed it after the road trip. It's green again!

Did the door seal mod on all four doors. WOW what a difference, no more door rattles. I should have done this a long time ago.

The X was hard to start Sunday morning. Thought the kids must of left lights on or something. So went with the family to Home Depot. Upon leaving, no start! Friend gave me a jump. Limped home. Weird thing is no accessories worked at all, except A/C. Got it home and tested voltages. Was 7V coming from alternator. Got a new one from Autozone and a new serp. belt why I was at it. In the process I realized the geniuses at Ford designed the top rad hose to go thru the belt! WTH? Drained some coolant, removed hose. Back together now, charging properly. But my damn ABS light is on now! Any ideas?
