Bak Flip

Just ordered a Bak Flip (#35310) ( Tonneau Covers : Truck Bed : Folding : Hard : Retractable : BakLiner.com ) for my 2011 F250 Crew Cab short bed. The place I ordered it from said that the other years trucks have the same size bed so it is not a new part number for the new year....
Are the beds the same size as previous years ??

I can only tell you what my truck accessory dealer told me when I purchased a bed mat for my 2011 long box. "The beds on these things haven't changed since 1999". I looked at the screen and it said "Fits 99-present F250 long bed trucks" Hope this helps.

Got it installed a couple of weeks ago but was waiting to try it for a bit before posting up about it....

Install took about 45 minutes and I was taking my time and doing it by myself. Super easy and pretty self explanitory on how it all goes together.
I did watch the install video online a couple of times over the couple weeks I was waiting for delivery of it.

Good product and looks as good as it does online.
I was going to take pics but the pics online are better than anything I have and they are a good example of what a person gets so no need to post up the same pics....

The only thing I have left to figure out is the water drains. I want to route them over to the stake pockets instead of cutting a hole in the rubber plug at the front of the cab. Doesn't look like a big deal but just gotta make it over to the Ace Hardware and pick up a plastic elbow....

ended up just running the drains out the rubber plugs at the front of the bed.
I went over to the car wash and the only water that got in was a few drops around the corners of the tailgate.... the bed cover has worked great !!

I have a 2011 F350 and was looking at these covers, what is the upgraded drain system on the HD Cover?

because BakFlip is now an OEM supplier, they have been furnished the OEM plugs directly from Ford with HOLES ALREADY PRE_DRILLED. All you need to do is request the plugs from BAK (818) 365-9000, because the plugs only ship with their OEM model BakFlips. You just pop out the originals and pop in the new ones with the holes already drilled for the drain tubes. If you ever take the cover off or sell the truck, you have your originals still.

Cheers,

Julian
