1997 F150 CD Player Stuck!

Has anyone ever had their multi-disk cd player jam? I try to play a cd and the radio display NO DISK, or maybe no cd, but you know what I mean. Has anyone ever fixed this before? I have the player full of cd's.

Had it do it once before, turns out disc 1 was in upside down.

Also mine seems to be real scratch sensitive, if there's a scratch on track 1 it'll act like the whole disc just isn't there. Try starting the disc on track 2, that trick hasn't failed me yet.

FYI: My truck came with a factory 6-disc cd changer mounted on the driver's side extended cab panel.

If by multidisk you mean a changer the same thing happened to my 97' F-150. Actully The head unit shorted out somehow at almost the same time. When i was looking to find a replacement i came across a website that repairs stock stereos. you should be able to find it by searching for car stereo repair on google or something. Its not cheap though. You are probably off buying a new deck, at least thats what i did, but be warned an f-150 with a premium sound system (seperate factory amp) can be a pain to wire up. there arent any "plug in" harnesses to integrate that amp. Hope this helps some :D

My disk changer in my 98 sticks sometimes and says no cd when I know the things full of cds. I reach back there and wiggle the cd holder inside the changer and keep hitting the eject button till it finally lets go of it. Then I simply push it back down and itll usually plays after that.Give it a try.
