where to find pneumatic couplers

I am looking for pneumatic couplers like these for a 1/2 inch air hose (for a train horn).

Where can i find these (preferably locally)?

I haven't had much luck find those locally. A couple of ideas would be high end computer stores, those fittings are used in water cooling processors. Maybe aquarium stores.

If you get in desperate need, you can use brass ferrule fittings. Ace hardware, lowes, home depot should have something that will work for you. You might look there anyway, say in the irrigation section.

Ace and Home Depot only had Shark Bites for copper tubing and pvc tubing. The guy said it would not work for irrigation hoses.

Truck parts place, like stated above, should have them for d.o.t. airbrake systems. Running d.o.t. tubing is a good idea as it is rated for service brakes at a wide range of temps.

Fittings

Half inch air line is a common size , I have it in 1/8" - 1" line . They make air line in rubber and hard line that is made from PVC Synflex DOT approved line . The fittings are made in brass and plastic . I like to use brass over the push-pull plastic design . Most good auto parts supply houses carry have most sizes in stock .
