bad day
ok started working on my truck got a rear sending unit bed and wireing form oero all way going good i had resvied my battey cabels in the mail that when it hit the fan i had order onling using olreileys the neg cabel where 4 gaug way to small for my truck urg and for a positve cable was a 20 roll 0 gauge wire wtf i was pissed so know im ending up building cables urg i spend 160 on them it was spoice to be bolt up and go not fab some thing up man i feel like mike lol

That totally sucks. Could be worse though, they could have taken your money and not sent you anything. (Would have just said "That sux", but FTE told me I have to type at least 10 characters.)

4 gauge gets pretty hot cranking over my little 6. The 0 gauge or bigger should do the trick. I think OEM on the new diesel pickups is 0 gauge. Fabbing stuff up just makes you appreciate and trust your truck that much more.

Oh my Lord Joe, I haven't been around here for a couple of months and your typing skills still drive me nuts! No worries, don't change a thing buddy.
I agree with you, finding the right stuff on-line can be a pain sometimes. For electrical I try to buy locally first. That way I know what I have in my hand before I leave the store. And it makes it really my problem when the working fluid of electricity (aka "smoke") leaks out of the wires and things catch on fire; I have no one else to blame. |
