Hello to my fellow South Carolinaians

I'm the proud owner of a 2002 F150 Harley Davidson pickup. I'm seeking some advice. It only has 82k mile and has what seems to be a valve ticking during startup after not being driven for a few days. After the engine runs for 3-5 min. it stops and does not tick again until the next time I let the truck set for a while.
I have a company car so I only drive it on weekends and so forth. Any thoughts on what might be the problem? I have changed the oil 2 in one month using marvel mystery oil to loosen any junk on the valve train. Could it be I just need to replace or adjust the valve lash.
thanks for any advice with this one!!!

Okay this is my second hey y'all !!!! I was told that this is the Chapter to join!! so I did. I'm looking to pick someones brain about a ticking coming from what I believe to be a bad lifter or miss adjusted one. The ticking only lasts about 3 minutes then stops and does not come back unless the truck sets for more than a day. Help!!! Please I would be most great full.
I also would like the chance to meet some of our members here in Charleston, maybe over some beers or soda...I have great ski boat so we can have some family time too.
thanks to all
Mikey

I had the same thing on my '89 F150. Crazy thing, it ended up being a bad ground cable from the battery to the chasis. I swapped it and the problem went away.
