Well it's clouding up and supposed to rain by morning. I guess we do need it. Been almost 3 weeks of sun. Been luvin it. Gonna head up to the north end of Prince of Wales (POW) in the morn and get some parts off the rangers I got up there and see about what it will take to fire up the 66 F350 and bring it down. Got a 16 year old apprentice I'm teaching how to wrench that wants to drive it back. But the 427 in it is way to hot for him and he will have it over the bank the first time he gooses the gas on the gravel. But what the h--l he may do ok once he gets the feel of it. It will smoke the duels with a 1000 lbs on it in 3rd from a dead stop on asphalt. Prolly gonna part it out and put the engine in the 62 uni. So there is a lot of custom cab trim that I will be looking for a home for. Only rust out is where the hood hinges meet the fire wall. Rest of the cab and floor is sound. As well as the doors and cab corners.

Thanks for the car show A-Ex. Have been thinking of putting one together here on the Island. I know of about 18 cars here and I am sure there is a lot more. Would be great to see them all in one place.

Wagion 08-06-2010 11:36 AM

So much for the sun can't see more than 100 feet out the window due to fog and rain.

Skip1970 08-06-2010 01:41 PM

seems to be the rainiest summer in a while around here.

i'm really debating on heading to fairbanks for the weekend just to see if i remeber what sun and heat feels like. i dont think i've turned my windsheild wipers off in 3-4 months!

arctic y block 08-17-2010 11:24 PM

This Island has dried out so much from all the Sun that it's floating 30 feet higher.

Ak68F250 08-18-2010 12:15 AM

Might get some relief from the rain out here for a few days.
Found all the leaks in the roof but have to wait till it is dry enough to go fix them plus let the wind die down a bit.
