Cruise Control adjustment?
Is there a way to tweek the cruise control on these truck ie when I press resume it takes it a while before the cruise starts to control, on older vehicles you could adjust the vacuum to make response quicker.

Could be a sticking cruise control disengagement switch.
See link below, near end. |
CC on a 6.0L is all in the PCM. Meaning the only adjustment would be by programming.

Which leaves very few suspects.... |
Guess I'll learn to live with it, darn this truck has been great, 58,000 miles and replaced the FICM on warranty and repaired a small oil leak under turbo. Life is good right now!! Doing all the recommended upkeep and monitoring temps.

The cost of the cruise control switch is less than $20, and I replaced it in about 45 minutes of work --- and got a bonus brake bleed / fluid change out of it..

I have always hated how slow the ford C Control is to respond to input. After I drove the new Dodge with the toggle lever on the right side of the steering wheel (like older BMWs) I really hate my dog-slow set-up. -Mike
