Possible GTG in Clarksville
 

Just getting a rough feel for seeing if you guys want to try & get a GTG on the 27th (March) here in north middle Tennessee. Tim (Torkum) & I are trying to see about having a GTG at the downtown Clarksville Hooters on that Saturday. There's also a Harbor frieght store in the same strip mall as well.
So far I only know of 4 local guys wanting to attend. I can/ will even open this up to the Kentucky folks if you like too. :-bigparty


Let me know your suggestion of having a GTG in March.

Date is good for me Mitch. Just think guys it could be sunny and in the 50s by then.

I'd like to be there Mitch, but it's kinda far away to make two trips east within two months. I'll see you at the F100 Super Nats in Pigeon Forge.

Wow Bill, didn't know you are going to the F100 Nats! Man I've been a fan of yours for years around here. It will be great to meet you there.

I was at the 2008 Super Nats in Knoxville.

I planned on meeting Mitch there, but I left Knoxville on Saturday morning, the same day Mitch arrived at the Nats, so we missed each other.

btw: You prolly won't have too much trouble spotting me in the crowd. There prolly won't be too many ppl there wearing an Hawaiian shirt that are 6-5, 350. :-X15

Bill what days are you going to be there? The TN Chapter is planning on having a area setup with our Chapter banner up.

The plan is: We're flying into Dulles, driving the Blue Ridge Parkway south to Asheville, then over to Pigeon Forge.

I don't have the dates for the meet yet, so I dunno how what days myself and "She, who must be obeyed" will be there.

We are planning on spending 15 days in TN, KY, NC, VA...so we'll have plenty of time.

Hopefully our GTG will be a good kick off for SuperNat's. And yes if was about a 1hr miss between me & Bill in 08 at Super Nationals.
As of right now the 27th is a good day; And was fixin to post over in Kentucky forum to see about inviting those Blue Grass boy's & girls.

I was disappointed mainly with the swap meet.

I got there early Thursday morning (getting a speeding ticket from the local polizei along the way)...hoping to grab all the cream before the rest of y'all woke up. :-missingt

But, only a coupla vendors were open, the crowd was non existant, couldn't even buy a hot dog.

Here in LA LA Land...at that hour, the swap meet would be jammed with ppl arguing over the prices for all the cream, stuffing their faces with hot dogs at the same time.

The posts in this thread is about it for me and the TN Chapter.

The SoCal Chapter is a different story. You can waltz on over there, look at the February GTG pics (taken in the cafe), see what I look like. Look for an overfed :-X15 lug wearing an Hawaiian shirt.
