Hunting for Salvage yards Norfolk Area
Trying to find some Salvage Yards in the Norfolk-Chesapeake area for this weekend. I looking for parts for a 1952 Ford truck. I only will be in this area for another week.
I appreciate any feed back. Dale Ford52F2 |
I've never seen anything that old around here in any of the yards I've been to. If you're still around here, there are a few choices:
Johnsons Mustang & Truck Parts 757-545-8370 Chesapeake Pick-N-Pull 757-417-0380 Virginia Beach B&G 757-? Bowers Hill (Chesapeake) Metro Same Always Chesapeake There is also a place in Moyock, NC; just a few minutes south on 168 after the state line that would probably have something for your truck, but they're expensive, especially with that old of a truck. Good luck. There's other people around but thats off the top of my head. Hope I'm not too late. |
you got the ones i know of...there's oceana salvage, but again, with that age truck idk what they might have for you
|
Oceana Salvage is going south I think, I was there yesturday and the oldest Ford they had in there was 1987-1991 model, and only one of those, the rest were newer like 1998 +, and they only had around 15 trucks and suvs.
MissIndependent, nice truck. Do you run in the AJ Gator/Pungo Off-Road truck shows Monday nights in Chesapeake? The owner of Pungo Off-Road runs/judges the trucks. Mine one second place once for 1/2 fords. Just something to think about doing if you don't have anything you gotta do. AJ Gators is by Farmfresh @ Centerville and Mt. Pleasant Rd. Hope to see ya there. |

i agree... OS isnt as good as it use to be... last couple times i went in there i didnt find anything i was looking for.... one thing i did like about there though was its free to go in and look around... least it use to be... aint been in a couple years now...
|
its still free to look but his prices are rediculous. i needed a driveshaft an it cost me $50. would have been $30 at pick an pull if they had it.
|
better than paying couple hundred for a new one off some site... course then ya coulda had an aluminum one lol....

Truck shows are on Monday nights. To enter your truck, you need to be there at 6-7PM, go inside the store and register with Pungo-Offroad's owner (They can lead you to him). Then stick you paper he gives you on your dash. Once again, its the Aj Gators at Mt. Pleasant & Centerville, on the Farmfresh side of the corner. Any and All trucks are welcome, even the chevys... Winners are usually picked 9-10PM. Hope ya'll can make it.
Let me know if you need more info. |
