Help me pass inspection
I have an '85 F150 300/ NP435/ 3.08 2WD.
I've made up my mind, so don't go there, but I have scrounged up all the parts necessary to do the Autolite 2100/ Offy/ '93 EFI exhaust/ DSII improvement. The question for all you guys that have done any modifications under the hood is, after reading the Wake County regulations for Emissions/ Safety inspection I'm wondering how the heck to pull this change off and still pass. Anyone in the Triangle area that I should go see to have it inspected after I make the switch? |
Most places won't even pop the hood on something that old anymore, especially since it's now just a safety/visual inspection. They just check the lights, horn maybe and maybe look at the tires, then send you out the door until next year.

get a 4bbl air cleaner off a 5.o mustang, and put it on foe emissions, that's what I do here in md, works every time. he pulls open the hood, sees the stock air cleaner, and closes the hood. good to go

you could always get one of those non catalyst stickers to go under the hood..
got one on my ambulance... he popped the hood, seen that, said. ohh, since thats there... no need in me looking in here.. *closes hood and informs me i can do anything i want to it* |
