Got the switches and gauges finished in the mud truck, don't need a radio with open headers anyway. The matching momentary switch is now in the open hole on the right.

Maiden Voyage, Couldnt wait
Well I was going to wait until I had some daylight this weekend, but after finishing up the tranny tonight, the boy and I couldn't wait, we had to roll the dice and see what she would do :-X22 its been 8 months since it rolled under its own power and we took it out in a snow storm and the mud :D was awesome.... like a 6 year old on Christmas morning...

https://i1378.photobucket.com/albums...ps7udnehiw.jpg 1) prepare lots of strips of masking tape before you start installing 2) start at the top center of the door jam 3) use 3m black weatherstrip adhesive and let it tack-up good |

Congratulations on purchasing Dennis Carpenter rubber seals. I think you'll be very happy with the end result-I sure was! Tips:
1) prepare lots of strips of masking tape before you start installing 2) start at the top center of the door jam 3) use 3m black weatherstrip adhesive and let it tack-up good |

Not necessarily today, but over the past two months I have been trying to get the chassis back together in my spare time.

Drove it to the library. First time it's moved under its own power since early November when I pulled the tranny for a complete rebuild. Still need to reinstall the crossmember that got cut to get the transmission out. Even with it in 2 pieces, it's a real struggle to get it in. Michael |
Nice rider lasermike!
I'm doing a few gauges for my F350, may as well tap a few things and install all the fittings while I'm cleaning her up and working on the engine. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/sX...r=w640-h480-no It's amazing what $30 gets you on ebay. - boingk |
Good day for the Highboy
The boy child and I took the highboy for its second journey ! We made it half way to the gas station before I stepped on it and separated the throttle bar from the throttle linkage.... put it back together, made it home and took it apart and made a custom fix... :-X0A6 Took her back out, made it to the gas station, filled her up with premium and realized the gas gauge works :-X22 amazing, 40 year old truck..... Let the boy drive home, parked it and gave it the 1st oil change since rebuild.......... pretty happy that this build is coming to fruition .... :-drink
