Fixed the sticky door locks,key wouldn't unlock pass side door.Just needed a good lubing.Now to get some door panel retainers.Turn signals stopped working,turn out to be a sticky hazard 4 way switch.After pulling in/out a few times,turn signals started working right again

Took the opportunity to hang out with my dad some and built myself a storage box to go behind the seat.

That's great. My golden loves riding in the truck. He's an old boy now so I have to lift his heavy butt up, it's a sight..haha

I dont know about the pad but in our excursion you can look underneath the dash on one of the black boxes and it will have the factory code on it. Even if somebody has set their own code you can still change it with the factory one. Its been several years since ive done it so i dont remember exactly where the code is, but it might be worth checking in to...

Worked over the blue parts cab for a fellow FTE member, we were tag teaming that door hinge area. PITA

But a fresh 19V sawzall battery and some new Red Diablo blades, worked better than the torch.

No I am not, please PM me about it and here is a guy to over haul it.

Folks on FTE say "For OEM radio help, the guy to use is in Scottsbluff Nebraska. His name is Gene Cochran, and he works out of his house. He's a crusty old codger, but does some tremendous work. While he had the radio apart, he updated some of the internals and cleaned the heck out of everything. My total bill was $25!*His number is 308 632-2520 (I checked with him at the time I collected my stereo, and he was OK with giving his number out) He also lined me out on the manner in which the old radios were wired (mine at least). The speakers are in series meaning positive from radio to positive on speaker #1, negative from that speaker goes to positive on speaker #2. Negative from Speaker #2 goes to Negative on stereo. Now the stock stereo rocks as loud as the little 5 1/2 speakers can handle!!!*

While it's there you might see if he'll wire in an aux input*jack. I had it done with mine, and it allows me to run my I-pod through it. Basically when the I-pod is connected it becomes the antenna source. Cost in parts was under $5. I set mine on a 12" extension so I could just drill a small hole in the dash by the ashtray, which I'm turning into a covert charging / storage station for my phone and I-pod. won't cost much more."

Well, this winter I had to tear Buford apart as the rear gas tank had a wicked leak, and we can't have that sort of thing happening at car shows (especially on the grass). So, after having figured out the my vendor sent me the wrong tank and getting that straightened out, I tore out the old tank, put the new one in, and put it all back together.

Well, this last weekend, I took Buford out for a bit for a shakedown, and learned just two nights ago that I had a new leak in the new tank........needless to say, I used most of my profane vocabulary at the prospect of having to tear it all out again. So, last night I dropped the transmission crossmember, dropped the exhaust, and then finally dropped the tank. It was what I thought it was.......the o-ring seal on the sending unit had slid out of place when I had installed it, and I didn't notice. So, once I got all that figured out, I buttoned Buford up, and filled the tank. Came home tonight, and it's dry as a bone under there, so I think we finally have everything under control.

Managed to take a few pictures during the weekend for another little project I'm working on...........enjoy!
