Grade 8 hardware to mount receiver hitch, replaced driver's side grille insert, and installed a tow hook up front (bound to get stuck at some point)... fresh snow makes for nice picture opportunity...

I was going to change the oil in my truck today, but I could not get reach the drain plug, so I pulled the motor. lol JK

Not really, but sort of... I sat up for a rainy day job and then me and another FTE member pulled the maroon parts trucks 460, so it can bring another Ford back to life...To have an easier time accessing the trans and torque convertor bolts we sat the front end up on some railroad ties. The bobcat was getting a little tippy when it was asked to pick up the complete front end of the truck. lol

Got the oil drained also....

Painted up my cowl badges today! I think they went okay, not show quality, but not bad for $15 worth of paint scratch pens, and i didnt tape anything up.

Before. I had already stripped the tip Ranger badge, but just needed to clean the corners. As you can see from the XLT badges and the bottom ranger, they definitely needed some love.

Drove mine all over town today, then did more bodywork. Bed is almost done!

I installed a new stereo, 2 new speakers, the passenger side door lock rod, and got a new windshield installed in my 77..watched them replace it(looked like a PITA), thankfully the rubber was still good, and there was no rust anywhere..windshield was $150, has a tint strip at the top and they came to my house to install it...I also put the passenger side/front splash guard back in as well..now to find out why the dash lights are shorting out and blowing the fuse(this was going on before the stereo install)..

Could be a bad headlight switch? You know that the rheostat to brighten and dim them is built into the that switch.

You can pull it out and maybe insp and clean the little spring contact arm and the round spring looking rheostat coil??

1. Disconnect battery
2. Reach up under the dash and feel for a spring loaded button on the top or maybe bottom of the headlight switch body.
3. Push the button down and pull out the headlight switch knob and shaft, all in one.
4. Remove the dash bezel, or enough screws to get in between it and the 2 notch lock ring that holds the switch in the dash.

Been building me a bi-folding tonneau cover. I have more money in fiberglass and in paint than building materials, If I were to guess on what I have in it would be around 100 or so. Also they hinge and lock. Soon im going to purchase some air struts to make it a little easier to lift.

Put weatherstrip in it
Discovered a problem with the lights
Got mad at it
Shouted at it
Swore at it
Stared at it from a fetal position accidentally in one of the oil slicks it left on the driveway
Shouted at it some more
Fiddled with the wiring
Swore at it more
Went inside and ate junk food and pasta until my sorrows were buried beneath a mountain of carbs
Vented my flustrations here.

Ahh, classic fords....

From 2 states away i gathered up a new H.E.I. dizzy, a new master cylinder, a new set of 5.13 gears, and a backup set of 35" tires in preparation for a street drag race a local group called cops and rodders are putting on
