I made some more progress on the center console today. The cup holders feel and height feel perfect to me. The T-case shifter will need to be fitted just a bit more, but its darn close. To keep everything from moving around I just used some more epoxy and Velcro. Its moving along nicely!

Well guys i just finished up wiring the speakers on the console. WOW!! It makes a huge difference to have those two extra speakers up front. Those are here to stay.

That center console looks great man. Today on my 79 i installed a grand marquise electric fan with a adjustable fan temp switch. Installed side mirrors and rear view mirror and cleaned my fuel tank...

Just pulled a kid in a Chevy out of a ditch on the back side of my property . He lost control in the rain in the curve . He commented on my truck saying he really liked the body style . Poor kid had to walk a half mile in the rain . His phone was dead and I was the closest house . I think my dog and 357 scared him more than his wreck ! No damage other than mud everywhere .

I forget to come here every time ..... but today I checked her over, vacuumed the pine needles out the vent, and I checked and found toe was about 1/32" so I adjusted it and added + toe so it's 5/32" now. Hadn't checked or adjusted that since 1986 when I put the '78-79 style parts on her.

got a rear seat out of a 97 Eddie bauer for my regular cab . New Holly 670 street avenger carb . New seat cover . Saddleman sucked , returned it . Got a cover off eBay out of Az. Way better quality . Got the C-6 rebuilt .
That is what happened the last couple weeks . Looking for someone that can do body work now .

Post some pictures of that seat once you get it installed if you don't mind.

I discovered that my eBay MSD 6AL was dead this weekend, so I ordered an MSD Street Fire. We'll see how that goes.

Hopefully Summit Racing will work like it has for me in the past. Usually get the parts in about 24 hours.

Not today, but last Friday THE BOY and I decided it was time to put some heat in the truck.

All it took was a small act of GOD and some elbow grease/busted knuckles.

Must not be too cold Doc, looks like you're dressed for summer:D

Finished the center section and removed the bearings off the axles for replacement. Just need to find a place with a press to install the new ones and it's test drive time!

Well that looks like a handy little jig! Those 3rd members are kind of frustrating to work on a bench with.

MixWizard 11-29-2014 10:02 PM

Indeed!

Picked it up at Speedway Motors for a lot less then some other jigs out there, made the job much easier.
