getting power steering hoses made tomorrow then I'm going to start putting the front end back on.

Now that's a engine! Kinda like my 428. Glad to see im not the only one with a pretty engine. Don't wana be mall crawler status on the outside and inside.lol

Got my interior all clean from the radiator hose accident for the heater, got my exhaust all welded up, and hydroboost brakes broken in and engine and fans purring. Ill be adjusting the timing from 10 degrees to 18 degrees timing and this will be one fast highboy. Also need to adjust the shift kit in the tranny down the road.

And im one broke college student again and need more hours at work now :-X19

Installed a 1 wire 140 amp alternator to help out that 2 stage Lincoln Mark VIII electric fan upgrade, thanks Jegs for no shipping, handling or tax!

Flawless, all the directions come with it? Pretty straight forward wiring install?

flawless45 01-14-2014 07:58 PM

The directions are pretty generic. For wiring it's just one wire that came with it that I shortened and ran direct to the solenoid where the old wire was. I deleted almost all the old wiring harness coming from the alternator and regulator, the only wire I kept was the one going to the horn. The end of that wire is a 2 wire plug but I just cut and capped of the wire not going to the horn and it works perfect. I had to loosen both brackets attaching the alternator also to get it to squeeze in front of the header, tight fit.

I ordered a edelbrock intake and a crane cam. Should give me some more ponys on the pavement!

Are you going to degree your cam in and get matching valve springs and measure for your pushrods?

Thanks for the information, I have been contemplating getting a higher output alternator. I need to get mine tested first I think. Thanks again.:-drink

It's a pretty mild cam. I'm not building a race engine. :-X0A6s

This is the cam that's going in.

Ok, just make sure your valve springs don't go into coil bind at max lift. Best of luck and I hope it all goes nice and smooth for you. Be sure to post up your results:-drink

So frustrated with chasing distributor problems and carb problems that I had to do something. Enter: new dome light lens...
