GOING FOR A PRERUNNER LOOK

Ive pondered for several days now on lowering my truck...... and then i had an epiphany.... in the form of a prerunner
http://image.automotive.com/f/featur...rs_Removed.jpg
they are built with 2wd chassies for people that dont know... and my truck is a 2wd. so the reason for starting this thread is to figure out if a 6inch lift for a 4wd will work because if i am not mistaken they have the same suspention... the 4wd just has a differential on the front i beams... so what do you all think:p

I have a 95 2wd and have the Pre-runner theme. I added a Pre-runner light bar to the front and a spare tire carrier in the bed and 35" BFG,s with beadlock style wheels

Performance Accesererys is who the body lift is from and i did not move my bumpers, they are still in the stock postion

Google autofab & check out the 80-96 F150 kits. From econo to wild they have it.
Lowering is easy to do as well. Either way, these trucks look great. I prefer lowered myself but its your truck.

My '94 "Prerunner Ford Powerwagon".

A before picture of the truck when it was stock.

Here's after the 3'' body lift. Truck also has a 4.11 gear set and locking differential.

Just a 3'' Body lift. They make true suspension lifts for 2WD trucks. Look into it.

beautiful truck and i have looked into the 2wd suspension lifts thats what i have priced out in the earlier post on here. i thaught about the body lift but i want the bumper up too.... and the 4 inch suspinsion lift will give me roughly 10" of travel i think who makes the bumpers with skid plates i looked on AUTOFABS site and they have them but no price.... i think i might be stuck with just getting a grill guard for now and mounting some lights on it ...... lol i might have the money by january

6CylBill 12-08-2009 05:39 PM

If you can fab, you can fix the bumper no problem. I just don't care enough. Thank you for the compliment. I would look into a 4'' suspension lift if I were you. I personally don't have anything against body lifts. I believe they serve a purpose. No complains about mine so far.

I say go for 3 - 4 inches of lift so you don't run into too many problems and issues. A 3.73 gear set would help turn over some nice 33x11.5's.

How much money do you want to spend on this? What's the budget here? A body lift is $150. Helps save some cash for tires and gearing.

Ideally it would be nice if you could just run a 4'' suspension lift, 33'' tires and a 3.73 gear set.
