Welcome to the biodiesel forum. I did a quick search and didn't find much.
You can find a nice chart here: Vegetable oil yields, characteristics: Journey to Forever I don't like to quote that site much, to much misinformation.................... But the yield chart is pretty close. Where I live we raise canola. Local yields of 4,000lb + /acre are common here. A 100 acre pivot will generate about 20,000 GALLONS of B-100 per year. |
Thanks, that's a good start. That seems like a pretty good return with the canola. Does it go by a different name, I didn't see it on the chart. I was thinking about flax. I guess a lot depends on where you are, soil conditions, weather, growing season, etc.
