All is going as planned still?

Oldtrucknut7077 12-11-2009 02:48 PM

Everything is a go as planned Mike. I'm going to wait a couple of more hours to finalize the plans with the restaurant.

Ok Speedy, see you there.

Chris, sorry you can't make it but I understand. There are going to more planned next year.

High Intentions 12-11-2009 03:20 PM

Mike, sorry to hear the swelling is still bothering you, I hope you get better soon. As for not being able to make it, that is completely understood. Take care of your health first, there will be plenty more gtg's in the near future. If you and you're wife decide to make the trip, that is fine too. Hang in there!

Thanks Scott, appreciate the concern and kind words. Just to give you a run down, bloods flowing down my leg but the clot is a deep vein and its not allowing the blood to flow up, it gets swollen and then my ankle swells bad then the pins and needles start, unbelievable after 42 years with nothing ever major and this happens, really depressed but keeping the faith. I can walk around a little, the doctor wants me too keep moving and thats good cause I'm going nuts but after about an hour, it starts bothering me so like I said, I'll try to stop by for just a little bit to meet all you fine folks so don't count me out totally, ;)

soondg 12-11-2009 04:35 PM

Mike, take care of your leg first. I pushed myself when I had a chest infection and wound up on life support and chest tubes for three weeks. Right now I'm in therapy for damages that have accumulated over the years from playing to hard, a 56 year old body doesn't want to bounce back as fast as the 30 year old one did. Not that I'll stop playing hard, I'll just plan for a longer recuperation period. I've always said when the grim reaper catches me, he'll be out of breath and pissed off.

Scott, don't forget to take lots of pics for those of us that are living vicariously through the computer monitor. I may not be able to make it physically but I will definitley be there in spirit.

big poppa 12-11-2009 05:37 PM

Thank for the wise words Joe, hope your situation goes as planned and for a speedy recovery, I remember it from last year, get well buddy.

Oldtrucknut7077 12-11-2009 05:46 PM

Joe, plenty of pictures are part of the plan. Don't stress yourself out if you can't make it, its understandable.

Mike, if we see you we see you. Like I told you before, take care of your health first..

Oldtrucknut7077 12-11-2009 05:49 PM

Ok folks, I spoke with Lori at the gathering point and she said we are all set. The restaurant goes by 2 names, so I just wanted you to be informed. Its called Tailgaters & Shultzies. I look forward to see all of you there!

High Intentions 12-11-2009 09:06 PM

Mike I'm with Scott....Take care of number one first....Hope your doing better. And hope to see you and myself there.....Scott I got your number and I hope I don't need to call it.:). What name is the gtg under? FTE? your name?

liftnw8z 12-11-2009 11:32 PM

My new phone has a 3 megapixel cam if anyone forgets a camera for those living vicariously..lol. I could try and remember my regular digital cam as well.

Scott - got your number earlier, hopefully like Eric I wont need to dial it. Is the group listed under FTE at Schultzies/Tailgaters?

Oldtrucknut7077 12-12-2009 03:37 AM

I will remind Lori that it will be listed under FTE group.

Ill be there, but in my jeep. Just cant take the truck when its in the 14 mpg mode, (winter fuel) vs the jeep, always 20+. Such a good little car, just cant keep a windshield in it!

liftnw8z 12-12-2009 10:48 PM

I get close to 20-22 when doing all interstate driving in the Explorer, which is good as I'll essentially be crossing the state twice tomorrow...lol.

Oldtrucknut7077 12-13-2009 06:14 AM

A motley crew to be sure:) Is it time to start planning another for the New Year. I asked my wife if she would be willing to host a chapter New Years Eve Party at our house, she may request off from her part time job if it looks like it could happen. Post up what you guys think of the idea.
