2002 f350 leveling kit
 

I searched and found lots of threads but most are old or dont address my specifics so hear goes.
I have a 02 f350 7.3 diesel crew cab lariat and want to get rid of the "nose dive look"..Im thinking about a 3 inch kit.Its ok if the front is still low by an inch.This is IMPORTANT...I need to still fit the truck in my garage and have 2.5 inches to spare at roof line now.(I believe if I lift the front 3 inches the roof line will go up by about 1.5 inches,correct me if im way off)
I dont know much about leveling kits but from reading I think I want a hanger kit to preserve the way it rides.I believe I will also need a new track bar,right?I have new billstien shocks(2 MONTHS OLD} all the way around,will I have to replace my fronts again with leveling kit?I dont want to have to do any work on the rear for anything..
Any recommendations on what to buy and why?Is there such thing as an adjustable height leveling kit?Trying to stay in 5 to 700 dollar area..
I should also say I have asteering stabilizer already,the tires I have and will keep ar 285*75*16 and the ground to fender rear hieght is 43.5 inches and front is 39 inches....

At my shop we like the Ready-Lift leveling kit. In fact, I just had one installed in my 2005 F350. It gives the truck a level, lifted look but the lift is only a couple of inches. Ride quality seems to be pretty good, but we will nonetheless install a steering stabilizer as well to guard against excessive bump steer.

I dont think that kit is available for an 02...My truck has leaf springs and I believe that kit is for coil springs..

So after looking at my leaf springs Im trying to decide if they are worn or correct. They are just about flat,straight across. Maybe if that indicates worn I should get a leaf pack leveling kit.Im just worried about getting in my garage with the hieght.Would hate to add the kit and not fit in my garage.. Lol.. Dont know what to do....

I can't remember everything that came with my leveling kit on my 04, but I remember I also put new shocks on as well. I think it was, shocks, shackle kit and alignment. Its been two trucks ago so I am starting to get fuzzy on remembering.

I have a Pro Comp shackle/hanger kit waiting to go on.. supposed to give 2" of lift up front. If I ever get it on, I can get a before/after measurement to the roof line for ya.

I think I may just try a shackle kit...I know it will stiffen the ride some but its easy to put on and take off...The easy taking off is important because its gonna be a tight fit in the garage..I know a hangers would be a better option with the shackles but if I need to take the shackles off because it wont fit in the garage this is the easiest way..Can I add hangers later if the height works for me?or does that add even more height?Heres the link to the kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...Q5fAccessories

Lots of guys use the shackle only kits and are happy, to me it seems like a half azz approach.
Here's an easy way to tell if your rig is gonna fit in the garage or not... put a nice heavy duty jack under the center of the front axle. Take a measurement from the ground to the top of the front wheel arch. Jack the truck up until you get 2" higher than that number, then measure to the roofline.
