local XM reception

Ct members with Sat radio in your ride, comment if you will on your reception.
Im curious as mine is in and out....is that normal for our area?

My unit will crap out in a couple of areas on I95. Guilford and Waterford area. Trees and bridges will affect the satilite reception big time. With my luck I alway get stuck under a:-X09 bridge when good tunes are playing.

i didnt get it because with all the heavily wooded backroads i drive, it almost never got reception in my friends car.

Thanks guys,
Im in the Guilford area a lot on 95 and agree, my cell cuts out there too...
I'm hoping its a little better in the winter when the leaves fall since I got it primarily to listen to hockey games.
I went to mass a couple weekends ago and I dont think it missed a beat but under the trees here, like you said,ouch..
Not too bad on open roads..

I lose it near exit 57 and on RT. 80 near dream lake, also on 77 north of RT80.
Some days are worse than others due to the solar flares.
The reception is A LOT better in the winter.

I can live with the satilite cutting out. It beats listening to the communist FM junk.

I would lose reception just past Dream Lake heading west. If I hit that area at 60+mph the satilite will not miss a beat.:D

Yes but the speed limit is only 50mph LOL.
