My van is still at the dealership. :-banghead

I dropped it off Wednesday morning telling them I needed it back by noon today so I could get to work. :-blah

The dealership hasn't even started on it as of 11am ish today. :-X17

The dealership got me a rental, I'm hoping I don't have to pay too much for it. :-X15

The rental was billed to the dealership, and the service write said he'd look into it. :-jammin

I'll know when I see the bill if there is a rental fee and to what amount. :-duel1

The rental is a Mazda Three??? feels like I'm in a go-cart looking up at everything. :-X15

rocdril 07-30-2009 05:41 PM

Dave, I hope you get your van back soon!

Aerocell4x4 07-30-2009 05:48 PM

:-wink Hi there Ray & Don.

I figure Saturday, if I'm lucky, I'll have my van back.

donjamer 07-30-2009 05:53 PM

Dave, what did you send it to the dealer for??

Aerocell4x4 07-30-2009 06:01 PM

Don:
  1. Tranny is getting new plumbing, today's version of the old valve body.
  2. Resolve a leaking power steering.
  3. Likely new front rotors and pads as the pedal is pulsating again after the rotors were turned down, and now the wiper on the pads is squeaking.
  4. Resolve the vibrations that occur at about 55-60 mph. Suspect a bent wheel and or steering gear as the shocks are not that old.

donjamer 07-30-2009 06:03 PM

Sounds like a full list of work to be done..

To bad it isn't under warranty

Aerocell4x4 07-30-2009 06:20 PM

Don:

I anticipate that the tranny work will be covered by warranty, and should that be the case then the dealership gets to pocket the Mercon SP that they would normally use to refill the tranny.

I figured I'm covered by the warranty becasue:
Every couple months the tranny would go stupid and set codes and I'd promptly stop in at the dealership and have them read the codes and make a service entry.
So my problem date should be effective with the first instance and not today's mileage / date.

One the third bout they decided my tranny needs that part replaced.

At the least, it'll cost me the replacement of the AMS Oil ATF Universal in that two-gallon (over stock) deep pan.
But then again its been about ten months and I was planning on just draining the pan once a year anyways and so I budgeted for it.

The vibration and leakage, arose from hitting a road obstacle.

Such it is.
