So there I was...just driving along....

The wife and I decide to stop at Arby's for a Beef N Cheddr, and sitting in the parking lot is a nice looking F250 Crew pulling a 29 foot TT.

Since we've been talking about getting one of these, we decided to mosy over and chat. We must have spent half an hour just chatting. Turns out he was from Louisiana and was heading towards Pittsburg for a family visit. So the upshot of the conversation was that we were both first time diesel owners...and then he says, you know, you need to find the website called Ford Truck Enthusiast......he about fell over when I told him I was the CL for WV!

We had a great laugh and parted ways.

The moral of the story is you never know when you're gonna meet a friend for the first time!:)

He could've also been a serial killer looking for his next victim!!!
Why didn't he pick you?
What was really in that trailer?
How did the ford do pulling the TT?
was that the real color of his hair?
What did the couple order from Arby's?

these are all questions we may never know the answer to. One thing is for sure, the beef and cheddar was good!

:-X24I'm sorry, did I get a little off track?

See Joe, here you wanted to give up the Chapter Leader position.

Just being a member would not have been as impressive as Chapter Leader.

I meet a few members from time to time.

I think Bob Smith was the last though.

Sorry, I had a little too much caffene that night. I have come to a conclusion. When I was young I could work in the garage all night, get two or three hours of sleep and be at work bright eyed and bushy tailed. Now it hits me hard. This getting old sucks!!!!!

msgtg 07-07-2009 07:57 PM

LMAO....my wife keeps reminding me...Honey, you're not 30 any more....you're not even 40 any more....come to think about it, you're not even 50 anymore. 54 sucks!

I know what you mean about getting older. I have a car that needs a fuel pump replaced. I have done a few in my time with great success but my nuckle skin is thinner and they bleed more. To add to that it seems like Murphy's Law comes into play more, complicating things. Then there are the time limits that a repair has to be made. It also takes longer to get up after getting under the car and the recovery from using musles that have not been used for a while. But the satisfaction of a job well done makes it all worthwhile, I think.:-missingt:-X24
