Same here Fred, we`re finally enjoying good weather and doing some cruising.

northeaster79 07-02-2009 09:10 AM

its been nice here off and on.
alot of rain lately.but no snow lol.I haven't been getting any cruising in,still never really finished any of my projects.the 78 should be done in the not too distant future.

I haven`t finished any of my projects, it`s a good thing I`ve got afew others to go cruising in....

I finally finished the second 95,I ended up putting all new brake lines on it,you know how that goes, you look at one the wrong way and they all start to leak.and all new brakes, clutch, slave cylender and alternator.then I decided to take it for a drive and it won't rev,and sounds like there are a hundred hair dryers going under the hood.I was kind of baffled and the lower intake looked like it was leaking.so two hours later I had the intake gasket replaced and still the same.I took of the converter and it was completely collapsed inside.28 inches of pipe later and it works like a top,or at least like a good running 300.what a tight driving old truck.

A simple fix and it`s running fine, you just have to love that! :)

those are the best kind of fixes, and it does run good, very nice working old truck,I have it cleaned out inside almost as good as I'd like it to be,I used tire foam to clean the rubber floor,it worked pretty well.
but I think when I take the seat and mat out to paint the floor I'll hit it with the pressure washer and some spray nine.

Fomoko1 07-18-2009 12:29 AM

After all that it should look pretty dang good!

northeaster79 07-20-2009 08:46 AM

its really starting to shine up nicely,I hate getting into a dirty rig,the old thing was pretty decent inside anyways, except for 4 years of dust and a little mold around the back window.I was going to do a little work on the body, but I think that will wait until after the winter.

Fomoko1 07-20-2009 10:45 AM

I hate a dirty vehicle too and over the years I`ve bought some old farm grain trucks that were pretty bad.

northeaster79 07-20-2009 11:18 AM

oh I've seen some that were pretty grungy and nobody thought they could be cleaned, but all it usually takes is some time and alot of spray nine,I know the old truck doesn't look like much on the outside but its nice and clean inside.

Fomoko1 07-20-2009 11:49 AM

A clean older truck appeals alot more to me than a shiny new one....

northeaster79 07-20-2009 11:58 AM

I've gone to look at some pretty nice looking trucks, and what would seem to be a good deal and the interior is dirty or ratty and thats as far as I look.
